The Greek School of Ayia Triada Birmingham, under the Midlands Greek Cypriot Association, is a prominent and well-established supplementary school in the Midlands, recognized as one of the largest Greek schools in England. Founded on September 23, 1984, by Greek-Cypriots dedicated to creating an educational environment for their children to learn the Greek language, preserve their cultural heritage, and maintain their roots and faith, the school has grown significantly. Located in the picturesque area of Erdington, just minutes from Birmingham City Centre, the school offers both online and onsite classes from Monday to Saturday, with weekday classes from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Saturday classes from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, followed by dance classes from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

Cultural Ambassador
GSAT Participation in the Programme “Cultural Ambassadors: Cyprus Steps into the Classroom”
Our school is delighted to take part in the programme “Cultural Ambassadors: Cyprus Steps into the Classroom”, organised by the Deputy Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth of the Republic of Cyprus, the Cyprus Educational Mission, and the Service for Cypriots Abroad. The initiative supports the long-standing educational aim “I Know – I Do Not Forget – I claim what is mine”, helping children connect with the history, culture, and collective memory of Cyprus.
The unit “My Home”, taught through Greek language and literature, invites students to explore the idea of home as a symbol shaped by people, place, and memory. Through the works of Despina Heracleous, learners reflect on home as a space of identity, belonging, and emotional experience.
A key focus is the homes along the Green Line—powerful reminders of the Turkish invasion, displacement, and Cyprus’ ongoing division. By engaging with these stories, students develop understanding, empathy, and awareness of loss, resilience, and hope.

Ayia Triada Greek School is proudly recognised as an Ambassador School in the United Kingdom, with an active and distinguished presence in European Union affairs. Our students have had exceptional opportunities to participate in major EU youth programmes, including events in Brussels and Strasbourg as part of Euroscola and the LUX Film Prize. In May 2026, our school had the honour of hosting the official EU Accreditation Ceremony—an important milestone that highlighted our commitment to European values, civic engagement, and educational excellence.
